Section, Region, and National

Chumash Lodge 90 is a lodge in Section C1 of the Western Region of the Boy Scouts of America. The 300 plus lodges within the BSA are governed by a National Committee of youth and adult advisers. A section is primarily responsible for training activities within a geographic area. Its main program is the annual Conclave which for Section C1 is held each September. The Regional Officers provide officer and adviser training through such programs as NLS and NLATS and for coordination of the different sections at National events. The National OA conducts a major training seminar for 10,000 OA members every other year at a major college campus and runs high adventure programs for OA members exclusively at Philmont, Florida Sea Base, and Northern Tier.

Nationally and locally the Order of the Arrow has adopted a strategic plan that will chart the future of the OA as it prepares to celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2015.
